Sendtric alternative: how flashtimer compares with Sendtric

If you are weighing a Sendtric alternative, this page puts the two side by side using Sendtric's own pricing and help pages, checked in October 2026. Sendtric is a broad email widget suite; flashtimer does one thing, live countdown timers, and goes deeper on how you create, place and test them.

Step by step

How to switch from Sendtric to flashtimer

  1. Recreate each timer

Describe the sale in a sentence to Create with AI (Basic and up) and review the draft, or build it in the editor on any plan. Match the type you used in Sendtric: a fixed deadline, a start-on-open evergreen timer, or one that counts to a date in your contact data.

  2. Swap the image URL

In each template and automated flow, replace the Sendtric image URL or HTML with the flashtimer embed. For evergreen timers, copy the snippet for your email platform so its per-recipient merge tag, where it has one, is already in the URL.

  3. Set what readers see after the deadline

Write an expiry message, or upload your own fallback image (Basic and up), so late openers never see a countdown to an offer that has ended.

  4. Test, then retire the old timer

Send a test to Gmail, Apple Mail and Outlook. Keep the Sendtric timer live until campaigns already in inboxes have passed their deadline, because those emails still load the old URL.

Where Sendtric is a strong choice

Sendtric is more than a timer. Its pricing page lists rule-based personalized images, polls, live weather, social proof counters and critical alerts that update an email after it is sent. If you want one vendor for several kinds of live email content, that breadth is a real reason to stay.

Its timers are mature too: start-on-open evergreen timers from Micro, motion and vertical timers from Standard, and start-on-send and custom-event timers on Power. Sendtric says widgets can be made in 30+ languages, and its free plan only adds a watermark after you pass 10,000 monthly views. On annual billing, Micro costs $8.25 a month for 150,000 views.

Sendtric vs flashtimer: where flashtimer is different

flashtimer is built around the countdown alone, so the differences are in how timers get made and placed. With Create with AI you describe the offer in a sentence and get a drafted timer, deadline and copy included, to review in the editor. Pro and up can also create timers from code or an AI assistant through the REST API and MCP server.

On placement, Pro plans connect to 20 email platforms and insert the timer into a draft campaign or template for you, and promotion sync turns Shopify discounts and WooCommerce coupons into timers whose end dates stay in step with the store. Sendtric's integrations page describes copy-and-paste HTML for its listed platforms.

Timer types differ at the edges. flashtimer has recurring countdown timers that reset on a daily, weekly or monthly rule, such as "order by 2pm for same-day dispatch"; we did not find a recurring option on Sendtric's site. Business plans can A/B test timer designs.

Sendtric pricing compared

Sendtric's pricing page shows annual-billing rates: Micro $8.25, Standard $35 and Power $62.50 a month, with 150,000, 1,000,000 and 5,000,000 monthly views. Its FAQ says annual billing saves 9–10% against monthly. Paid Sendtric plans never add a watermark, and widgets keep working if you go over.

flashtimer's plans are $9 (Basic, 150,000 views), $35 (Pro, 1,000,000) and $69 (Business, 3,000,000) a month, billed monthly. Both tools count a view when the image loads in an opened email. At the top end Sendtric's Power plan includes more views than flashtimer Business; at the bottom, flashtimer's free plan includes 20,000 views against Sendtric's 10,000, with up to 3 active timers (Sendtric lists unlimited widgets from Micro).

A free Sendtric alternative for evergreen timers?

Neither tool puts per-reader evergreen timers on its free plan: Sendtric starts them at Micro, flashtimer at Basic. flashtimer's free plan does include fixed timers in every layout and copy-paste embeds for any email platform, so you can run fixed-deadline campaigns at no cost and add evergreen countdown timers when you upgrade.

Email client support is the same physics

Both products serve an animated GIF, so behavior across inboxes is similar. Sendtric's guide notes that older desktop Outlook versions show only the first frame, which it sets to the correct time left. flashtimer works the same way: classic Outlook on Windows shows an accurate frame from the moment of opening that does not tick, so restate the deadline in text. For Apple Mail Privacy Protection, flashtimer Pro has an Apple Mail fallback; Sendtric offers hiding in Apple Mail from Micro and an Apple Mail fallback image on Power.
