Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 26 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and byte2bit B.V.
about your use of flashtimer. Please read them carefully. By creating an account, clicking to
accept these Terms, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the
Service.
1. Who we are
flashtimer is provided by byte2bit B.V. ("byte2bit", "we", "us", "our"), a
private limited company registered in the Netherlands.
- Address: Korte Lijnbaanssteeg 1 - 4387, 1012 SL Amsterdam, the Netherlands
- Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number: 94626251
- VAT number: NL866841179B01
- Email: info@byte2bit.com
2. Definitions
In these Terms:
- "Service" means flashtimer: our websites (including flashtimer.com and app.flashtimer.com),
the flashtimer application, our API and MCP server, the timers and links we serve, and any
related services we provide.
- "Customer", "you" and "your" mean the business or person that creates an account, or
on whose behalf one is created.
- "User" means an individual who uses the Service under your account, such as you or a member
of your organization.
- "Organization" means the space in the Service where your timers, settings, integrations and
plan are kept, together with the people you invite to it. Every account comes with an
organization of its own, which it owns, unless sign-up is limited; an account can also be
invited to other organizations.
- "Content" means everything you or your Users put into the Service: timers, designs, texts,
images, logos, fonts, brand kits, links, settings, and instructions to our AI features.
- "Recipient" means a person who receives one of your emails or visits one of your pages and
sees a timer you created with the Service.
- "Plan" means the Free plan or a paid subscription plan, as described on our pricing page.
- "Top-up" means a pack of additional timer views that you buy in advance.
- "Views" means the number of times your timers are loaded, as measured by the Service.
3. The Service is for businesses
- The Service is a tool for businesses: it is offered to companies, sole traders and other persons
acting in the course of their trade, business, craft or profession ("business customers").
- By creating an account, you confirm that you are a business customer using the Service for
business purposes, unless you tell us otherwise at info@byte2bit.com. If you act on behalf of a
company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms on its
behalf, and "you" refers to that organisation.
- If you nevertheless use the Service as a consumer (a natural person acting for purposes outside
your trade, business, craft or profession), section 27 ("Consumers") applies to you, and nothing
in these Terms limits any right you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where
you live.
- You must be at least 18 years old, and legally able to enter into a binding contract, to use the
Service.
4. Your account and organization
- You must give us true, accurate and complete information when you register and keep it up to
date, including your billing details and, where you have one, your VAT number.
- Each User must have their own login. You must not share logins, and you must not create accounts
by automated means.
- You are responsible for keeping passwords, API tokens and integration credentials secret, and
for everything that happens under your account and in your organization. Tell us immediately at
info@byte2bit.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
- The account an organization comes with is its owner, and is responsible for its Plan and billing.
The owner and the organization's admins decide who else has access to it and with which role; the
application shows what each role can do. You are responsible for your Users' compliance with these
Terms, and for removing Users who should no longer have access. The number of Users you can add
depends on your Plan.
- What you make in someone else's organization is part of its owner's Content (section 12). It
stays in that organization, its owner controls it, and it is deleted with the organization,
including when its owner deletes their account.
- You may not sell, transfer or sublicense your account or organization to anyone else without our
written consent.
5. The Service
- The Service lets you create countdown timers and related content, place them in emails, websites
and other channels, connect third-party platforms, and see statistics about how your timers are
viewed. The features available to you depend on your Plan, as described on our pricing page and
in the application.
- We continually improve the Service. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove or
materially reduce a feature that is a core part of a paid Plan you subscribe to, we will tell you
at least 30 days in advance, and you may cancel your subscription with effect from the change
and receive a pro-rata refund of fees you paid in advance for the period after the change.
- We may make beta or preview features available. These are provided as they are, may change or be
withdrawn at any time, and are excluded from any commitment about availability.
6. Plans and prices
- Every organization starts on the Free plan. It costs nothing, does not require a payment card, and
has the limits shown on our pricing page.
- Paid Plans are monthly subscriptions. The price, features, monthly view limit and number of
Users of each Plan are shown on our pricing page and on the Billing page in the application
before you confirm a purchase.
- Prices are in US dollars (USD) and exclude VAT and other taxes. Where VAT or another tax
applies, it is added at checkout and shown on your invoice. If you are a business established in
the European Union outside the Netherlands and give us a valid VAT number, the reverse-charge
mechanism applies and you must account for the VAT yourself.
- Our Enterprise plan is sold only by agreement with us. A signed order form or
agreement for an Enterprise plan takes precedence over these Terms where they conflict.
- Promotion and launch codes give the discount and apply for the period stated with them. When
the discounted period ends, your subscription continues at the regular price. A code cannot be
exchanged for cash or combined with another code unless we say so.
- We may change our prices. For an existing paid subscription, we will email you at least 30 days
before a price increase applies to you. If you do not agree, you may downgrade or cancel before
the increase takes effect. Otherwise, the new price applies from your first renewal after the
notice period.
7. Payment, renewal and invoices
-
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
By providing a payment method, you authorise us and Stripe to charge it for all amounts due under
these Terms.
-
When you upgrade from the Free plan, the first month is charged immediately and your billing
period starts on that day.
-
A paid subscription renews automatically every month at the then-current price of your Plan,
until you downgrade to the Free plan or cancel. Each renewal is charged at the start of the new
billing period.
-
When you change between paid Plans:
- an upgrade takes effect immediately, and you pay the difference in price, calculated pro
rata for the rest of the current billing period;
- a downgrade takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep your current
Plan until then, and you are not charged the difference back.
The Billing page shows the exact amount before you confirm.
-
Invoices and receipts are made available electronically, by email and through the Billing page.
You agree to receive invoices electronically.
8. Usage, limits and Top-ups
- How views are measured. Views are counted from sampled traffic data. At high volumes not
every view is recorded individually, so the view counts shown in your dashboard and used for
your Plan limit are estimates. They are refreshed every few hours, not in real time. Our
measurement is decisive, unless you show that it is clearly wrong.
- Tolerance. To absorb measurement noise, your organization is not treated as over its limit until
estimated usage exceeds your Plan's monthly view limit plus your available Top-up credit by more
than 4%.
- What happens over the limit. Once your organization is over its limit, all of its timers show a
static image instead of a live countdown, until the next billing period starts, you upgrade, or
you add Top-up credit. We send you an email when your organization goes over its limit. We do not
charge you for views above your limit unless you buy a Top-up.
- Top-ups. Top-ups are fixed-price packs paid in advance. Each pack adds exactly the number of
views you bought to your credit balance; you are never charged per view. Credit is used only for
estimated views above your Plan's monthly limit. Credit does not expire and carries over to later
billing periods while your account exists, but it cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred to
another organization.
- Automatic Top-ups. Where available and only if you switch them on, a Top-up pack is bought
automatically when estimated usage reaches the percentage of your Plan limit you selected. No
more than one automatic Top-up is bought per billing period. Because usage is estimated, a pack
may be bought slightly before or after that exact point. We may hold an automatic Top-up for
review if it looks unusual. You can switch automatic Top-ups off at any time on the Billing page.
- Refer & earn. Where we offer it, an organization on a paid Plan can share a referral link and
send invitations from the application. If a new organization signs up through that link and pays
its first invoice for a paid Plan within 30 days of signing up, both organizations receive a
one-time number of bonus views. The number depends on the Plan of that first invoice and is
shown in the application and in invitation emails.
- The new organization receives its bonus views when that first invoice is paid. The referring
organization receives its bonus views 30 days later, if that payment has not been refunded or
disputed in the meantime and the referring organization is still on a paid Plan.
- Bonus views are added to your Top-up credit and are used and carried over in the same way.
They are free: they have no cash value and cannot be refunded, exchanged or transferred.
- A referral counts only if we can link the new organization to the referral link: it must sign up
in the same browser in which the link was opened, within 30 days of opening it.
- No bonus views are given for referring yourself, including where the new organization pays with
the referring organization's card or with a card that has already earned bonus views through
another referral. An organization can earn bonus views for at most 10 referrals in any 12 months.
- If the payment that earned bonus views is refunded, or a payment dispute about it is decided
against us, we may remove the bonus views given for it, as far as they are unused.
- Send invitations only to people you know or who can reasonably expect to hear from you, and do
not use your referral link for spam or in any other way that breaks section 11. If we
reasonably believe that bonus views were obtained through fraud, fake accounts, referring
yourself or a breach of these Terms, we may refuse or remove them.
- We may change or end the referral programme at any time for the future. Bonus views already
added to your Top-up credit are not affected.
- Seasonal launch kits. From time to time we offer a seasonal launch kit, such as a Black
Friday launch kit. Where we offer one, its window and its bonus are shown with the offer. If your
organization's first invoice for its first paid Plan is paid inside the window, your organization
receives bonus views equal to one month of that Plan's monthly view limit.
- A window's start and end are dates and times in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), and both are
included. What counts is the moment the invoice is paid.
- Bonus views are added to your Top-up credit when that invoice is paid, and are used and carried
over in the same way. They are free: they have no cash value and cannot be refunded, exchanged
or transferred.
- Each organization can receive a launch kit only once, whichever kit it is. An organization that
has already paid for a Plan does not qualify.
- Launch kits do not apply to Plans sold by agreement with us, such as our Enterprise plan.
- A launch kit can be combined with a promotion or launch code. The bonus is set by the Plan's
monthly view limit, not by the price paid.
- If the payment that earned bonus views is refunded, or a payment dispute about it is decided
against us, we may remove the bonus views given for it, as far as they are unused.
- If we reasonably believe that bonus views were obtained through fraud, fake accounts or a
breach of these Terms, we may refuse or remove them.
- If bonus views were given by mistake or because of an error, for example to an organization
that did not qualify or more than this section provides, we may correct them, as far as they
are unused. We will tell you if we do.
- A launch kit runs until the end of the window shown with it. We do not end it early or move
its deadline.
- Fair use. You must not use the Service in a way that deliberately inflates or manipulates
view counts, or that places an unreasonable load on our systems compared with normal use of your
Plan.
9. Failed payments and payment disputes
- If a payment fails, we and Stripe will retry it and email you. If the payment is still
outstanding three (3) days after it was due, we may lock your organization: your timers stop
being served until the payment is made. If the payment remains
outstanding, your subscription may be cancelled and your organization moved to the Free plan.
- If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us at info@byte2bit.com before you dispute it with your
bank or card issuer. We will review your usage and, where appropriate, refund the charge or add
credit to your account.
- If you open a payment dispute (chargeback), your organization is locked straight away and your
timers stop being served, until the dispute is closed in our favour or the disputed amount has
been paid.
- Amounts that are not paid on time may bear statutory commercial interest under Dutch law
(article 6:119a of the Dutch Civil Code), and you will reimburse reasonable collection costs.
10. Cancellation and refunds
- You can cancel at any time by downgrading to the Free plan or cancelling your subscription on the
Billing page, or by emailing info@byte2bit.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the
billing period you have already paid for. You are not charged again, and you keep your paid
features until then.
- When a paid subscription ends, your organization moves to the Free plan. Timers above the limits of
the Free plan are archived, not deleted, and can be restored if you upgrade again.
- Fees are non-refundable. Subscription fees are not refunded for the remainder of a billing
period after you downgrade or cancel, and Top-ups are not refundable once bought, except:
- where we charged you in error;
- where these Terms say so, such as in sections 5, 14, 17 and 27; or
- where we decide to refund in our own discretion.
- If you are a consumer, see section 27: your right of withdrawal and your statutory remedies apply
in addition to this section.
- Refunds are made to the payment method used for the original payment.
11. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service, or allow anyone to use it, to:
- break any law or regulation, including laws on email marketing and electronic communications
(such as anti-spam laws), consumer protection, advertising, data protection and privacy;
- send unsolicited commercial communications (spam), or place timers in emails sent to people who
have not agreed to receive them where the law requires their consent;
- create false or misleading urgency that breaks consumer protection law, for example a countdown
to a deadline or offer that does not actually exist;
- publish or link to content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, fraudulent, deceptive,
hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, or that exploits or harms children;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- spread malware, phishing or any harmful code, or link to it;
- probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent its security,
authentication, rate limits or usage limits, except as permitted by a written agreement with us;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers or networks, or other customers' use of it;
- copy, scrape, or access the Service by automated means other than through our documented API and
MCP server and within their limits;
- reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the Service, except where the
law expressly allows it;
- resell, rent or make the Service available to third parties as a service of your own, except to
your own clients if you are an agency managing their timers through your organization; or
- build a competing product using the Service or our Content.
We may investigate suspected breaches of this section, remove or disable the affected Content, and
suspend or end access as described in section 17.
12. Your Content
- You own your Content. We do not claim ownership of it.
- Licence to us. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for as long as
your Content is in the Service, to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display and adapt it
(for example to render it as a timer image in different formats) only as needed to provide,
secure and support the Service for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy. We may let our
service providers exercise this licence on our behalf for those purposes only. The licence ends
when your Content is deleted from the Service, apart from copies in backups, which are deleted in
their normal cycle.
- Your responsibility. You are responsible for your Content and for how and to whom you send
it. You confirm that you have all the rights, licences and consents needed for your Content and
for its use through the Service, including for any fonts, images, logos and trademarks you upload,
and that your Content and its use do not break the law or anyone's rights.
- Backups. We take reasonable care of your Content and keep backups, but the Service is not a
backup service. Keep your own copies of anything important.
- Removal. We may remove or block Content that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms or the
law, or that we are required to remove by an authority. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
- Reporting. Anyone can report Content they believe is illegal by emailing info@byte2bit.com
with a clear explanation and the location of the Content. We will review reports promptly and
with care.
13. Data protection
- Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data for which we are the
controller, such as account and billing data.
- When we process personal data on your behalf, in particular data about Recipients, we act as your
processor. Our Data Processing Agreement applies to that processing
and forms part of these Terms.
- You are the controller of personal data about your Recipients. You are responsible for having a
valid legal basis for that processing, for informing your Recipients, and for any personal data
you put into timer links, such as a subscriber identifier or email address.
14. Integrations and third-party services
- The Service lets you connect third-party platforms, such as email service providers, e-commerce
platforms and automation tools ("Third-Party Services"). When you connect one, you authorise
us to access your account on that Third-Party Service with the credentials or permissions you
give us, and to read and write data there as needed for the features you use.
- Third-Party Services are provided by others under their own terms, which you must comply with.
We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability, their changes, or what
they do with your data.
- A Third-Party Service may change or withdraw its interface in a way that stops an integration from
working. If that happens, we will try to find a solution, but we cannot guarantee that every
integration will keep working. If an integration that we advertised as part of your paid Plan
stops working permanently and this materially affects you, you may cancel your subscription and
receive a pro-rata refund of fees you paid in advance for the remaining period.
- You can disconnect an integration at any time in your organization settings. We then delete the
stored credentials.
15. AI features
- Some features use artificial intelligence to generate timer designs, texts or insights ("AI
Output"). We use third-party AI models for these features, as described in our Privacy Policy.
- AI Output is generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsuitable or similar to
output generated for others. Review AI Output before you use it. You are responsible for your use
of AI Output.
- As between you and us, you own the AI Output generated for you, to the extent any rights exist in
it, and it counts as your Content.
- We do not use your Content or AI instructions to train AI models, and we do not allow our AI
providers to do so.
- We may limit the number of AI requests per Plan or period.
16. API, MCP server and custom domains
- You may use our API and MCP server only with the API tokens issued to your organization, in
accordance with our developer documentation and within the rate limits we set. We may change the
API and MCP server; where a change breaks existing functionality we will give reasonable notice
where possible.
- If you connect a custom domain, you confirm that you own or control it and are permitted to
point it to the Service. You are responsible for its DNS records. We may stop serving a custom
domain that is misconfigured, used in breach of these Terms, or that you no longer control.
17. Suspension and termination
- By you. You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account in the
account settings, which permanently deletes the organization you own and its Content, as
described in our Privacy Policy. You can leave an organization you were invited to at any time.
Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid, except as
stated in these Terms.
- Suspension by us. We may suspend all or part of your access to the Service, with notice where
reasonably possible and only for as long as necessary, if:
- you materially breach these Terms, including the acceptable use rules in section 11;
- your use poses a security risk to the Service or others, or could cause us legal liability;
- you do not pay amounts due, as described in section 9; or
- an authority or the law requires us to.
- Termination by us. We may end these Terms and close your account:
- immediately by written notice, if you materially breach these Terms and the breach cannot be
remedied, or you do not remedy it within 14 days after we tell you about it; if you become
insolvent or bankrupt; or if the law requires us to; or
- for any other reason, with at least 30 days' written notice. In that case we refund the fees
you paid in advance for the period after termination.
- After termination. Your right to use the Service ends. You may copy or download your Content from the
Service until the effective date of termination. We then delete your Content as described in our Privacy Policy,
apart from data we must keep by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination,
such as those on payment, liability, indemnity and governing law, continue to apply.
18. Our intellectual property
- The Service, including its software, design, templates, documentation, and the flashtimer and
byte2bit names and logos, is owned by byte2bit or our licensors and is protected by intellectual
property laws.
- Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive,
non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right, for the duration of these Terms, to use the
Service for your business purposes and to let your Users do so. Timers you create may be shown to
any number of Recipients.
- If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them freely without any obligation to you.
- Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
19. Availability and warranties
- We aim to keep the Service available at all times, but we do not guarantee that it will be
uninterrupted, error-free or always available. It may be unavailable, for example, during
scheduled maintenance, emergency repairs or failures of networks or providers outside our
control. Where possible, we schedule maintenance to minimise impact.
- We will provide the Service with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with its description.
- To the extent permitted by law, the Service is otherwise provided "as is" and "as available". We
make no other warranties, express or implied, including any warranty that the Service will be
fit for a particular purpose, or that it will achieve particular results, such as higher sales
or conversion rates. We are not responsible for how email programs, websites or devices display
your timers.
20. Limitation of liability
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for damage caused by our intent or
deliberate recklessness (opzet of bewuste roekeloosheid) or that of our management, for death or
personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be
excluded or limited by law.
- Subject to the paragraph above, we are not liable for:
- indirect or consequential damage;
- loss of profit, revenue, sales, business, goodwill or anticipated savings;
- loss or corruption of data, except the reasonable cost of restoring it from the most recent
backup; or
- damage caused by Third-Party Services, by your Content, or by your breach of these Terms.
- Subject to the first paragraph, our total liability arising out of or in connection with these
Terms and the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited
per calendar year to the total amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months
before the event that gave rise to the claim, or €100 if you paid nothing in that period.
- You must notify us in writing of any claim as soon as reasonably possible, and in any event
within twelve (12) months after you became aware, or should reasonably have become aware, of the
event giving rise to it. Otherwise the claim lapses.
21. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against, and pay, the damages, costs (including reasonable legal costs) and
fines that arise from a claim by a third party or an authority to the extent that it is caused
by:
- your Content, or the emails, pages and campaigns in which you use the Service;
- your breach of these Terms or of the law, including data protection and email marketing laws; or
- your infringement of a third party's rights.
We will tell you about such a claim promptly, let you control its defence where you request it and
it is reasonable, and cooperate with you at your cost. We will not settle the claim without your
consent, which you may not unreasonably withhold.
22. Force majeure
We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performing our obligations caused by
circumstances beyond our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, epidemics, war, terrorism,
government action, large-scale cyberattacks, or failures of electricity, internet or
infrastructure providers, including the hosting, network and payment providers we depend on. If a
force majeure event lasts more than 60 days, either party may terminate the paid subscription
affected, and we will refund fees paid in advance for the period after termination.
23. Sanctions and export control
You confirm that you are not located in, organised under the laws of, or ordinarily resident in a
country or territory subject to comprehensive EU, UN or US sanctions, and that you are not on, or
owned or controlled by anyone on, an EU, UN or US sanctions list. You must not use the Service in
breach of applicable sanctions or export control laws.
24. Changes to these Terms
- We may change these Terms, for example to reflect changes in the Service, our business or the
law.
- We will notify you by email, or with a notice in the application, at least 30 days before a
change that is to your disadvantage takes effect. Changes that are not to your disadvantage, or
that are required by law or an authority, may take effect sooner.
- If you do not agree with a change that is to your disadvantage, you may cancel your subscription
before the change takes effect, and we will refund the fees you paid in advance for the period
after the change. If you continue to use the Service after the change takes effect, you accept
the changed Terms.
- The date at the top of these Terms shows when they were last changed.
25. General
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing
Agreement, and any order form you sign with us, are the entire agreement between you and us
about the Service. They replace any earlier agreements or statements about it. Your own general
terms and conditions or purchasing conditions do not apply and are expressly rejected.
- Order of precedence. If documents conflict, the following order applies: a signed order form
or agreement, then the Data Processing Agreement (for the processing of personal data), then
these Terms.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our
written consent. We may transfer them to a company in our group or to a buyer of all or part of
our business, and we will tell you if we do.
- Severability. If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in
force, and the provision is replaced by a valid one that is as close as possible to its purpose.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not give it up.
- Notices. We send notices to the email address of your account owner. You send notices to
info@byte2bit.com. Email notices are written notices.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English
version prevails.
- Independent parties. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, employment
or agency relationship between you and us.
26. Governing law and disputes
- These Terms, and any dispute or non-contractual obligation arising out of or in connection with
them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
- The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not
apply.
- All disputes will be submitted exclusively to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
- If you are a consumer, section 27 applies in addition to this section.
- Before going to court, we both agree to try to resolve a dispute amicably by contacting the other
party in writing and negotiating in good faith for at least 30 days. This does not prevent either
party from seeking urgent interim relief.
27. Consumers
This section applies only if you use the Service as a consumer (see section 3). It describes rights
the law gives you; we have written it in plain language so there are no surprises on either side.
Where it conflicts with another section of these Terms, this section prevails.
- Right of withdrawal (European Union, EEA and United Kingdom). You may withdraw from a paid
subscription or a Top-up purchase within fourteen (14) days of the day you bought it, without
giving a reason, by emailing info@byte2bit.com or sending us the model withdrawal form at the end
of these Terms. Because the Service starts as soon as you pay, you are asked, when you confirm a
purchase, to request that it starts immediately. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, we
refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the part of the billing period that had
already passed (for a Top-up, minus the views already used). Refunds are made within 14 days of
your withdrawal, to the payment method you used. If you did not request an immediate start, we
refund the full amount.
- Statutory remedies. If you are a consumer in the European Union, the Service must conform to
the contract as required by the law implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770 on digital content and
digital services. Where it does not, you have the statutory remedies that law gives you (bringing
the Service into conformity, a proportionate price reduction, or termination of the contract),
and nothing in these Terms, including sections 19 and 20, takes them away.
- Renewal and notice. After the first billing period your subscription continues for an
indefinite period and you can end it at any time with effect from the end of the current monthly
period, as described in section 10. Where the law of your country requires a shorter notice
period or a reminder before renewal, that law applies.
- United States. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer-protection
law of your state. We disclose the renewal terms and the price before you pay, we do not charge
you without your express consent, and you can cancel online as described in section 10.
- Liability. The limitations in section 20 apply to you only to the extent permitted by the
mandatory law of the country where you live.
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by Dutch law, but if you are a consumer you also keep
the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in
the courts of that country.
